Chili's
Farmers Market Is a Growing Success!
Each week, more and more people are visiting
Chili's Farmers Market - and additional vedors
continue to sign on. "It's the place to be!"
remarked one visitor. The Chili Farmers Market
takes place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays,
June 14 through Oct. 25, in the Chili Paul Plaza
parking lot. Produce varies by season. There are
also crafter booths on-site. The market is rain
or shine and handicapped accessible.

Chil-E
Fest & July 4th Fireworks Display the Best Ever!
In recognition of our Nation's 232 Birthday, and
to serve as the closing celebration of this
year's Chil-E Fest, over 15,000 people were
treated to a dazzling 35 minute Fireworks
display that was described as the Chili-E Fest's
"best ever!".
It was a fitting end to a
very successful day. The festival featured craft
booths, lots of great food, magic acts, face
painting, plenty of great music, a huge
inflatable slide and jumping area for the kids
and the most festive parade the Town has ever
seen.
It was well organized and the
change of location and date proved to be a huge
success!
Congratulations to Mike
Curley, David Dunning, the Recreation Committee
and all the volunteers who worked so hard to
make this years celebration so enjoyable for our
Town residents!

6
Million More Reasons that Chili is a Great Place
to Live:
Dunning Delivers!
(Written on Friday, June 20, 2008) We learned today
that the Town of Chili will be receiving $6
MILLION in State aid for the purpose of
replacing the the current Highway Department
facilities and moving them to a new location.
Shortly after taking office
in January Chili Town Supervisor David Dunning
stated that the relocation of the Highway
Department was "one of my top priorities". He
immediately began contacting members of the
State Assembly and Senate as well as other
possible resources, in pursuit of funding for
this necessary and long over due project.
Today we found our that
Supervisor Dunning's efforts were a great
success as the Town will be receiving $6 MILLION
from New York State.
In February 2008, Chili
Supervisor David Dunning met with NYS
Assembly Member Susan John, and requested her
support and help in obtaining money for a new
highway garage and DPW building. She responded
to this request and helped to secure this money
for Chili.
Dunning's predecessor,
Tracy Logel, who Dunning soundly defeated in the
last election, also tried to get money for a new
highway garage. Unlike Dunnig, she was
unsuccessful and never was able to deliver on
her campaign promise to build a new highway
garage.
Our congratulations to
Supervisor Dunning and the Town of Chili! This
$6 MILLION represents the largest amount of aid
the Town of Chili has ever received!

On Friday June 13th a
large crowd gathered at the Paul Road Business
Center in honor of all veterans - past and present -
in a Flag Raising ceremony hosted by Buckingham
Properties, LeFrois Development and Pierce
Industries. A short ceremony was held and remarks
were given by Larry Glazer, CEO of Buckingham
Properties; Dick Webb, owner of Pierce Industries;
Ellen Warren, VP of Public Relations for Veterans
Outreach Center; David Dunning, Supervisor, Town of
Chili; State Senator Joe Robach and State
Assemblywoman Susan John.
When addressing the patriotic
crowd during Friday's Flag Raising ceremony, Buckingham Properties CEO Larry Glazer
praised Chili Supervisor David Dunning when he
stated: "Chili used to be thought of as a step child
in Monroe county - but now, thanks to it's new
supervisor David Dunning, Chili is hot, hot, hot"
We agree! Chili is on the move and every business
and resident in
the area will be the beneficiary!
